3rd Annual Louisiana Honor Air Ride

G&C Honda will be hosting a Poker Run on Saturday, March 26, 2011. We will be providing food, drinks, entertainment, and door prizes. This is the third year G&C Honda has hosted the Poker Run benefiting the Louisiana HonorAir. Our guest of honor is Sally Varrelman with Louisiana HonorAir who diligently works trying to get those who served to the memorial in Washington, D.C.

The Ride will begin at 10.30am Entry fee $25.00 per person that wants a Tshirt and get a poker card. Thanks so very much! This is going to be a Awesome Event!!!!

Louisiana Honor Air and G&C Honda are working together to raise money to send World War II veterans to see the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. The next scheduled Louisiana HonorAir flight is set for May 28th, 2011, leaving from Lafayette. Our World War II veterans deserve to be honored for their sacrifice they made for us. Please help us help those that have done so much for us.

March 27th, 2010 Saturday, Our 2nd Annual Event starting at 10.30 thru 1.30 we'll have a Poker Run for the Louisiana Honor Air fundraising to help send the WWII veterans to visit the memorial in Washington. Deer Hunting season has really kicked in gear now. All you hunters you should really enter the Big Buck contest we have going on. $20 and lots of nice prizes.

NO DEADLINE JUST ENTER BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR KILL ON A BUCK!

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Eligible hunters must be signed in and have $20.00 entry fee paid prior to the hunt.
2. Deer must be a whitetail buck killed during the general hunting season.
3. Eligible bucks must be killed within the State of Louisiana or the following counties of Arkansas : Lafayette, Columbia, Union, Miller, Quachita, Hempstead, Nevada or Texas Counties: Harrison, Cass, Red River, Panola, Gregg, Upshur, Bowie, Titus, Shelby.
4. Bucks killed within a deer-proof fence or any other confined areas are not eligible to enter contest.
5. Bucks must be properly tagged according to Louisiana State Law when brought in for measurement. Hunter must present valid hunting license and contest entry card to the official measuremer.
6. Adult age category is 16 and up. Youth age category is 15 and under.
7. Hunter must be lawfully licensed or exempt from license according to State Law.
8. Hunter must take the deer lawfully according to state law.
9. Hunter can only enter once. If you kill more than one buck you can have the larger one scored and accounted for. (Only one place eligible per participant.)
10. Hunter must agree to these rules by signing or having a legal guardian sign these rules.
11. Same rules as above except that hunter must be 15 years old or younger at the time of harvest.
12. Photos will be posted at the G & C Honda store and website of all entries for the remainder of the season.
13. Scores of the animals will be posted until the next contest, which is the season of 2010
14. G & C Honda employees will not be eligible to participate in this contest.
15. Measurements must be made within 7 days of kill.
16. For measurement, the registered hunter must bring in the field dressed deer or the deer’s head with antlers attached and enough cape for a shoulder mount with proof of kill for scoring to the
G & C Honda location -2415 E. 70th Street, Shreveport, La 71105. Please call ahead to schedule the appt so the Person doing the scoring is in the store. 318-797-1222

TIEBREAKER: CIRCUMFERENCE AT BASE OF RIGHT ANTLER

No points will be counted that are less than 1 inch from its base.
All measurements will be rounded off to the nearest 1/8 inch.
Any broken point which measures less than the minimum length for a point will not be counted as a point.
If the main beam is broken in any manner, the measurement will not include the detached portion of the antler.
If the main beams are moveable, the measurement will be made at the narrowest point when the antlers are held in.
